On February 7, 2007, The Warren Group celebrated its 10 year anniversary and we want to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their continued patronage.
This is a landmark anniversary for our company because business statistics for 1997 show that small businesses started that year only had a 9% chance of surviving 10 years. Well, we are proud to say that we not only survived, but we have grown as a company not only in number of staff, and locations, but also in the range of services we offer our clients.
The Warren Group started with a staff of seven in 1500 square feet of leased space. The first couple of months were scary as the phone didn’t ring very often, but gradually clients found us and soon we were buying our first building, with 5000 feet of office and lab space. In 2005, we moved to our new, custom, state of the art building that houses our corporate offices, conference rooms, training rooms, labs, evidence bays, and archival file storage. In addition to our corporate office in Columbia, South Carolina, we now have four satellite offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wilmington, Delaware, Midlothian, Virginia and Demorest, Georgia. Originally we only served a regional market, but we now work all over the U.S. and have international clients who value our expertise.
We now have a staff of 26 engineers, consultants, and support staff. Our engineers and consultants offer a wide range of consulting expertise. We are experts in forensic engineering and consulting with specialists in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, machine design, safety, fire and explosion investigation and collision reconstruction. We continue to take pride in the fact that we assign investigations to our engineers and consultants based on their ability and not their availability.
The one thing that has not changed in ten years is our commitment to our clients and the parties they represent. We value our clients’ faith in our ability to assist them by using the application of science to decide questions arising from incidents. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients in the manner they deserve.
