Investigating Unintentional Machine Guarding Injuries: Questions to Ask & Pictures to Take, NCDOI Course No. 70715

For years, people have blamed machinery and equipment accidents on the injured worker instead of looking at how the machine design could have been altered to prevent the injury. This course emphasizes the role of the designer in machine safety, uses case studies to highlight guarding techniques and introduces the concept of SAFETYTHROUGHDESIGN®. After attending this course, you will look beyond what the worker did and think SAFETYTHROUGHDESIGN® when conducting your subrogation investigation. The course also covers tips for determining the questions to ask and pictures to take in order to help you in the investigation of machine guarding incidents. This course is approved for three CEU hours.
