Product Liability claims that result in personal injury or property damage claims are often caused by a product failure. To properly investigate product claims, you must first identify the cause of the failure. The failure may or may not be related to a design defect or a manufacturing induced defect. This course will introduce the “design” process. It will cover the many decisions that have to be made in the design process and how they can ultimately result in product failure or a much safer product. This hands-on course will provide you with a better understanding of where responsibility for a product failure lays, what information is helpful to the investigation and how an expert can help. This course is approved for three CEU hours.
