All loss events have a cause. Most have multiple causes. Before you can subrogate a property loss event, you must determine who is responsible. You cannot determine who is responsible until you know all of the causes. You must constantly ask the question "Who Else Owns This Loss?" This course introduces the use of an Involvement Matrix as a method of illustrating responsibility when multiple parties and causes are involved. The Involvement Matrix is most useful in complex claims to illustrate the parties and their involvement to other adjusters and a jury. This course is approved for three CEU hours.
