John Holecek, P.E. is a Senior Consulting Engineer with The Warren Group in Columbia, South Carolina

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering both from the University of South Carolina
• Licensed professional engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Virginia
• Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators
• Over 22 years experience in the design of industrial process equipment. Knowledgeable in ICC, NFPA and OSHA codes and standards.  Highly experienced in the following areas:
  • Applied industrial heat transfer in the design of ovens and other devices using fuel gas, steam, hot water, electricity and thermal oil as a heat source.
  • Designed paint finishing systems which included washers, paint booths, ovens, thermal oxidizers, robotics, air handling and conditioning systems.
  • Fire protection systems such as wet pipe and deluge type installations including automatic fire / spark detection
  • Storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids
  • Material handling systems to include conveyors, machine guarding, etc.
• Commercial and consumer gas fired cooking appliance design experience including third party certification to nationally recognized standards.
• Experienced in the creation of cost estimates and schedules for industrial equipment and facilities to include; material, labor, subcontractor scope of work and costs, and project scheduling.
• Over 13 years experience supervising manufacturing operations. Knowledgeable in federal and state worker safety and environmental regulations.
• Experienced in construction site safety requirements as a result of managing outside contractors for 22 years in the installation of industrial process equipment.
