Origin & Cause Determination
The Warren Group can help you determine where, how, and why a fire has started. A typical fire investigation may include:
- scene inspection,
- scene documentation through photography and diagramming,
- evidence recognition, documentation and preservation,
- witness interviews; review and analysis of the investigations of others, and identification and collection of data from others.
The origin determination will involve:
- coordinating data obtained from the physical marks (fire patterns),
- the observations reported by witnesses or persons aware of the conditions at the time of the fire,
- the analysis of physics and chemistry of fire initiation,
- development and growth, and
- analyzing the location where electrical arcs have occurred and the electrical circuits involved.
We have investigators and engineers capable of examining fires and explosions in:
- structures,
- machinery and equipment,
- vehicles, and
- marine vessels.
