RV Vehicle Fires

The Warren Group engineers and fire investigators bring a multidiscipline approach to investigating the myriad of factors that go into a recreational vehicle (RV) evaluation.  RV fires are unique in that RVs are built to function as homes on wheels. They are packed with all the appliances one would expect to find in a residence and the electronics one would find in a car, truck or boat. These may include AC and DC wiring, electrical appliances, and engines.

Our investigators and engineers have knowledge in the origin and cause of RV fires related to:

  • AC power surges,
  • DC shorts and wiring,
  • DC engine regulators,
  • battery chargers,
  • inverters and converters,
  • engine and transmission overheating,
  • fuel leaks,
  • wire connections and chafing,
  • alternator overheating,
  • connection overheating,
  • cable overheating,
  • battery malfunctions and turbos, and
  • gas fueled and electric refrigeration systems.
